Search engine optimization or SEO is the process of growing visibility within the search engines by increasing the quantity and quality of traffic to your website. In this podcast session we discuss the basics of SEO and how it impacts the interior design and home remodeling industry with special guest Michelle Deleva of Empire SEO.

• Google My Business is the most powerful tool.
• ​Tips on how to maximize your Google My Business page.
• Videos and SEO 
• TikTok and its SEO potential. If you use video on TikTok, or YouTube, you have to do it regularly. 
• Google doesn’t read reels, so they don’t count for SEO. 
• 98% of searches are questions - create content that solves problems.
• Your website content must work for mobile phones.
• Don’t create a lot of shorter blog posts, create cornerstone content pieces with mixed content. Then update those pieces on a regular basis.
• Use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to track and measure.
• Update your website content regularly.
